This all-day tour departs from the Lynchburg location of your choice, and is available Monday - Friday during the months of September and October.  The tour begins with a drive to Lynchburg's historic Old City Cemetery. There we will visit the Pest House Medical Museum and final resting place of over 2,200 Confederate soldiers.  Our next stop is Point of Honor, named for duels fought on the lawn.  Point of Honor, is a Federal-style house built in 1815 by Dr. George Cabell, Patrick Henry's personal physician.  By late morning we will arrive at Oak Ridge Estates.  Oak Ridge Estates was built by Thomas Fortune Ryan, one of the early twentieth century's ten richest men.  Now privately owned, the 23,000 square foot mansion and 4800 acre estate is open to the public.   While at Oak Ridge, we will enjoy lunch and tour the estate's house and grounds.  The next stop is a visit to Drumheller's Orchard where you and your group can pick apples and enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountain Fall foliage.  The day concludes at Mountain Cove Vineyards and Wine Garden where we will tour the winery and sample its wines.
